History
For more than 30 years, Church at Charlotte has been making an impact that extends far beyond its south Charlotte campus. The church began in August of 1973 when six couples agreed to begin a Christ-centered, Bible-based church. By 1976, the church had purchased land at the corner of Carmel and Colony roads and built its first worship center.
Since 1982, the church has been led by Senior Pastor Jim Kallam Jr. In that time, we have grown both in Sunday morning worship attendance and in overall ministry impact. We offer a variety of worship opportunities on Sunday morning and a unique worship venue on Satuday night.
We are an evangelical-free church and member of the Evangelical Free Church of America. The term evangelical-free sometimes confuses people, but all it means is that we are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel and are free to form our own church government.
Before and after our services is a great way to meet new friends in the Courtyard. Here you will also find the Information Booth, where you can get more information on all of Church at Charlotte’s ministries.
